Since 1 September 2026, selling on ebay.it has been free for private sellers (venditori non professionali) with a registered address in the European Economic Area: no final value fee, no regulatory operating fee, and no fixed order fee, in every category. Business sellers (venditori professionali) pay a category-based commission plus a flat fixed fee and a regulatory operating fee.

The commission is calculated on the total amount paid by the buyer (item price, packaging, shipping service, and any applicable tax). Several categories charge one rate up to a threshold, then a lower rate on the portion above it. Watches are the most complex case, with a genuine three-tier structure rather than a simple two-tier split.

Fixed per-order fee of €0.35 applies on top of the percentage shown, for every category, regardless of order value. Rates shown are al netto dell'IVA (excluding VAT); eBay adds IVA separately where applicable.
Watches worked example: on a €1,500 sale, the fee is 11% of the first €100 (€11.00) + 5% of the next €890 (€44.50) + 2% of the remaining €510 (€10.20) = €65.70.

A Negozio (Base, Premium, or Premium Plus) increases your monthly free-listing allowance and reduces per-listing insertion fees, but it does not lower your final value fee. eBay states plainly that transaction fees are the same with or without a Negozio, which is why Negozio level is not a field in this calculator.

Affidabilità Top: business sellers with Top Rated status get a 10% discount on the variable portion of the commission, on listings that offer free domestic shipping, at least a 30-day return window, 0-1 day handling, and tracked delivery for items worth €25 or more. The discount never applies to the €0.35 fixed fee.
Sotto lo standard: sellers rated below eBay's minimum performance standards on the 20th of the month pay an extra 6 percentage points of commission on the following month's sales, on the total sale amount. eBay's own example: a commission of 11% + €0.35 becomes 17% + €0.35. After 4 or more consecutive months below standard, this rises to 7 extra points, which this calculator does not model. A separate surcharge of +4 percentage points (rising to +5 after 4+ months) applies to sellers with a very high item-not-as-described (INAD) rate; this calculator does not model that surcharge either.
