Most categories charge their listed rate on the first $7,500 of the sale, then 2.35% on the remainder, but several categories use their own threshold or a flat rate applied to the entire sale instead of a marginal split.

Once the sale crosses the listed threshold, eBay charges the lower rate on the entire sale amount, not just the portion above the threshold — a genuinely different mechanic from the progressive split used for the default rate and most other categories.
A fixed per-order fee of $0.30 (orders of $10 or less) or $0.40 (orders over $10) applies on top of the percentage shown, for every category except the discounted Athletic Shoes tier, which carries no fixed fee at all.
